Fulham Vs Liverpool 12 Feb 2014 :- HD

  1. Liverpool are still unbeaten in 2014 and keep up their pursuit of the top three after captain Steven Gerrard's stoppage time winner in a dramatic 3-2 victory at Fulham. Kolo Toure has gifted Fulham the opening goal of the game before Daniel Sturridge levelled before the break. A mistake from Martin Skrtel allowed Kieran Richardson to put the Cottagers ahead once more but back came the Reds thanks to a brilliant individual goal from Philippe Coutinho. Then in stoppage time Sascha Riether brought down Daniel Sturridge for a stone wall penalty which was duly dispatched by Gerrard.
  2. 90+4
Darren Bent's touch lets him down just as it looked as if he would get an opportunity.
  3. 90+2
We're well into FIVE minutes of added time by the way and Joao Carlos Teixeira should have put the match to bed but fires over from six yards out from Luis Suarez's cross.
  4. Daniel Agger comes on for Philippe Coutinho as Fulham push player's forward.
  5. 90
CAPTAIN'S GOAL! Steven Gerrard takes his shirt off in celebration after burying his right-footer from 12 yards past substitute goalkeeper David Stockdale.
  6. PENALTY GOAL!!! STEVEN GERRARD
  7. Sascha Riether dives in on Daniel Sturridge and referee Phil Dowd immediately points to the spot. That was a stone wall penalty!
  8. 87
Luis Suarez has scored four goals in four Premier League games against Fulham but nothing tonight. Is there to be a dramatic ending to this match?
  9. 86
Joao Carlos Teixeira looks to make a name for himself by bending his right-foot curler over the crossbar from the left edge of the Fulham box.
  10. 85
Lewis Holtby's strike deflects away for a Fulham corner which comes to nothing and the Reds counter-attack.
  11. 83
JUST WIDE! Philippe Coutinho bends his right-footer wide of David Stockdale's far post. The visiting supporters behind the goal thought it was in the back of the net and so did I for a second!
  12. Joao Carlos Teixeira is on for Liverpool for these final few minutes. This youngster is highly-rated so watch out for him!
  13. 80
Liverpool are dominating once again while Fulham are sitting in trying to keep them at bay. They'll happily take a point now!
  14. 78
Coutinho signed just over a year ago from Inter Milan for £8.5million and has showcased his abilities as a playmaker with an eye for a defence-slitting pass but he's starting to add goals to his game.
  15. Jordan Henderson is booked for hacking down striker Darren Bent.
  16. Stekelenburg is replaced by David Stockdale.
  17. 74
HEAVY KNOCK! Maarten Stekelenburg takes a heavy bang from Luis Suarez and it doesn't look as if the goalkeeper can continue.
  18. 72
WE'RE LEVEL AGAIN! Liverpool restore parity again thanks to a brilliant individual goal from Philippe Coutinho. The playmaker runs across the edge of the area before firing his left-foot curler into the far corner. However, a slight deflection off William Kvist diverts the ball past an outstretched Maarten Stekelenburg.
  19. GOAL!!! PHILIPPE COUTINHO
  20. The goalscorer Kieran Richardson is replaced by Alexander Kacaniklic as Fulham make the first change of the match.
  21. 68
It's a one man show from Luis Suarez as he tries desperately to get a shot away. There are appeals for a handball too but referee Phil Dowd is not having any of it.
  22. 64
Opta Stat: 2 - Liverpool have now conceded two plus goals in eight of their last 10 Premier League away games.
  23. 63
FULHAM AHEAD AGAIN! The goal comes totally against the run of play. A hopeful hike into the box deflects off defender Martin Skrtel and falls kindly into the path of Kieran Richardson who makes no mistake with a simple tap-in.
  24. GOAL!!! KIERAN RICHARDSON
  25. 61
OFF THE POST! Luis Suarez's right-footer from the left edge of the area smacks against the far post with Maarten Stekelenburg beaten. So unlucky by the Uruguay goal machine!
  26. 60
Daniel Sturridge has a go from the edge of the area, but another deflection takes it away for a corner.
  27. 58
Luis Suarez fires his effort across the face of goal and then Steven Gerrard's deflected effort falls to Maarten Stekelenburg.
  28. 56
Fulham are virtually playing five in midfield with Bent up on his own. The pressure is really mounting on the hosts.
  29. Philippe Coutinho brings down Kieran Richardson just as the winger was threatening to break away.
  30. 50
JUST WIDE! The chances are coming thick and fast now. Luis Suarez drives his left-foot shot wide of Maarten Stekelenburg's far post.
  31. 49
AMBITIOUS EFFORT! Steve Sidwell tries to beat Simon Mignolet from the halway line. Very Beckhamesque in the way he went for it but the Reds keeper watched it all the way.
  32. 48
The Liverpool fans are turning up the volume just as the team are on the pitch. Fulham are struggling to get out of their half!
  33. 46
CLOSE! Luis Suarez goes for goal with the free-kick which flies just wide of Maarten Stekelenburg's far post.
  34. Don't worry, you haven't missed any action. Luis Suarez attempts an audacious piece of skill to get past Sascha Riether and the defender is left no choice but to bring him down. Easy decision for referee Phil Dowd.
  35. 47
Opta Stat: 9 - Steven Gerrard has matched his best ever total of assists in a Premier League season (level with 2012-13 and 2008-09). He played that defence splitting pass with the outside of his right-boot. It was a joy to watch Liverpool fans!
  36. 46
Fulham get the second-half underway at Craven Cottage then.

  37. Rene Meulensteen sent out a revitalised Fulham line-up and they took the lead after eight minutes thanks a howler of an own goal by Kolo Toure. However, Liverpool levelled things up four minutes before the break as Steven Gerrard sumptuous pass was buried by striker Daniel Sturridge for his 19th goal of the season in all-competitions.
  38. 45+1
Fulham are desperate for the whistle because Liverpool are turning the screw all of a sudden.
  39. 45
We're into TWO minutes of added on time at Craven Cottage.
  40. 43
JUST WIDE! Steven Gerrard cracks a belter from 25 yards just wide of Maarten Stekelenburg's goal.
  41. 41
STURRIDGE LEVELS IT UP! Daniel Sturridge scores again at Craven Cottage - he scored a hat-trick here last season. The goal was all down to some magic by skipper Steven Gerrard whose defence splitting pass was out of this world. The Fulham backline opened like the Red Sea to allow Sturridge to to keep his cool and fire the ball into the far corner.
  42. GOAL!!! DANIEL STURRIDGE
  43. 40
That was half a chance for the striker who is usually quite good in the air. Liverpool have scored a league-high 10 goals from headers this season, but only two of these have come in away matches (both by Sturridge).
  44. 38
Raheem Sterling's up and under is headed wide by an unmarked Daniel Sturridge after moving off Johnny Heitinga.
  45. 37
Steven Sidwell is Fulham's leading goalscorer in the Premier League with six goals this season and he causes all sorts on problems for Liverpool defenders from another dangerous corner.
  46. 35
To be fair Liverpool fans, Kolo Toure did point to a bobble in the pitch when he scored that own goal! I'm not making excuses for him because it was still a clumsy attempt of a clearance.
  47. 34
JUST OVER! Kieran Richardson is playing a blinder tonight and his cross is headed just over the crossbar by Darren Bent in the six-yard box.
  48. 33
Raheem Sterling is the only Liverpool player trying to bust a gut to get behind that Fulham backline. He does so again, but once again he is foiled by an alert Maarten Stekelenburg.
  49. 31
The Reds have scored more first half goals in the Premier League this season (42) than 16 of the other 19 teams in the league have in total. No goals so far tonight though!
  50. 30
Philippe Coutinho balloons the ball high over the crossbar. There is no room to maneuver for Liverpool as they struggle to break down this Fulham backline.
  51. 28
Former Red John Arne Riise meets a firm volley which is deflected behind for a corner. The ball in very nearly falls on the head of Steve Sidwell, who was left unmarked.
  52. 27
Sturridge then has a pop at goal from a prodigious distance but it's meat and drink for Maarten Stekelenburg.
  53. 26
Suarez and Sturridge link up for the first time in the game but Ryan Tunnicliffe stays calm under pressure.
  54. 25
Steve Sidwell makes a crunching challenge on Luis Suarez. He does catch the striker on the follow through but the Uruguay goal machine doesn't make a meal of it and gets to his feet rather gingerly.
  55. 24
Liverpool have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 Premier League away games now and Brendan Rodgers will not be happy with his side's opening to this clash.
  56. 22
A heart in mouth moment for Steve Sidwell after his back pass is almost picked off by Luis Suarez. Luckily for him Maarten Stekelenburg spots the danger and clears up field.
  57. 21
Lewis Holtby works hard to win the ball back, despite being surrounded by three Liverpool defenders.
  58. 20
Opta Stat: Liverpool have now made 30 errors directly leading to a goal/shot in the top flight this season, more than any other side.
  59. 19
Remember, Fulham have lost 12 of their last 16 Premier League games at Craven Cottage (W3 D1 L12). Their home form is the worst in the league!
  60. 18
Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen has not been afraid to throw young talent into his side and it seems to be paying off because they're frustrating the Merseysiders.
  61. 17
Luis Suarez finds a gap in the Fulham defence but the angle is always against him as he slams his shot high over the crossbar.
  62. 16
Although Liverpool are keeping the ball well, they haven't fired in attack yet. Fulham are containing well!
  63. 15
Just before the incident, Luis Suarez's effort took a deflection which forced Maarten Stekelenburg into making a reaction save.
  64. 14
Referee Phil Dowd takes a tumble after being pushed by Kolo Toure, who was on his way back into his defensive position. That got a very loud cheer from all four sides of Craven Cottage!
  65. 12
Kolo Toure gifted West Brom striker Victor Anichebe an equaliser a couple of weeks ago and he's at it again tonight. There was nobody near him when his attempted clearance sliced into his own net. It really was bizarre!
  66. 10
Seconds later Holtby tries his luck from distance and has Simon Mignolet scrambling across his line.
  67. Lewis Holtby is booked for hacking down Raheem Sterling.
  68. 8
COMICAL OWN GOAL! Kolo Toure has gifted Fulham the opening goal of the game. Kieran Richardson's low ball into the box is sliced into his own net by the defender. That's a disastrous start for the visitors.
  69. OWN GOAL!!! KOLO TOURE
  70. 6
Daniel Sturridge claims he is felled by Sascha Riether but referee Phil Dowd waves play to continue.
  71. 4
Kolo Toure gets an important touch to the ball with striker Darren Bent lurking behind. This has been a good start by the home side!
  72. 3
Fulham are defending deep as the visitors keep possession at the back.
  73. 2
EARLY SAVE! Lewis Holtby finds Darren Bent down the middle and the striker moves the ball on towards debutant Ryan Tunnicliffe who looks to beat Simon Mignolet at his near post, but the Reds shot-stopper gets across to parry his shot behind.
  74. 1
Liverpool - in their all-red kit - get the game underway then. They usually make lightning quick starts to their matches, so hold your breath!
  75. The teams are making their way out onto the Craven Cottage pitch. The ground is absolutely packed while the pitch is in decent condition for this one. The weather isn't all too bad either considering the amount of rain which has fallen around the country today.

  86. EARLY LIVERPOOL TEAM NEWS: The Reds will be brimming with confidence after tearing Arsenal apart on Saturday. Defenders Daniel Agger and Glen Johnson both returned to training this week. Agger (calf) has missed the last six matches while Johnson has been out since mid-January with ankle and groin problems. Portugal Under-21 midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeira could be included in the travelling party to freshen up the squad after training.
  87. 19:08
Rene Meulensteen expects his side to defend impeccably against an in-form Liverpool side: 'How do you stop them? They've had an incredible season, the pace and the penetration, the variety and the unpredictability in the way they can all score goals. So it has to be all hands on deck for us to make sure that we defend in a good, compact manner, that we keep communicating, don't leave gaps for them to get through and play through. But the defensive performance from Sunday was definitely a massive improvement, and we can build on that.'
  88. EARLY FULHAM TEAM NEWS: New recruit Kostas Mitroglou misses out on making his Fulham debut despite scoring twice for the Under-21 side earlier today. The Greek striker has been struggling with a knee problem while defender Fernando Amorebieta remains sidelined.
